The Philips GoGear Mix is an ultra portable music player that features a 3 Line color LCD display. Despite the music player's petite build, it packs quite an acoustic punch thanks to a powerful Digital Signal Processor (DSP). This translates to fuller and deeper bass, richer instrument detail and high clarity vocal enhancements in your music. The GoGear Mix also features Philips FullSound innovation. The unique technology works by restoring the sound details that get lost during file compression.

The Philips GoGear Mix features a built-in mic for voice recording capabilities which allows it to be used as a dictation device. The feature can be used to record lectures, make quick shopping lists or note down phone numbers.

Design

The music player is crafted with premium lightweight plastic which resists scratches and minor aberrations. The Push-out USB design of the Philips GoGear saves you the hassle of dealing with tangled wires, besides, protecting the port during transit. The player measures 82 x 28.7 x 10.5 mm and weighs a compact 22 g, which renders it easily portable.

Battery and Storage

The GoGear music player comes with 2 GB of built-in memory and can store up to 400 songs. The device is powered by a 250 mAh Lithium-polymer battery. The music player supports USB charging and delivers an impressive 14 hrs of continuous audio playback time on a full charge.

Functions

Bored of your repeating playlist? Tune into the GoGear's Digital FM radio and choose a track from one of the 30 supported stations. Once tuned in, hold the preset button and the device memorizes the station for easy one-touch access in the future. The 6 Equalizer preset in the Philips GoGear allow you to choose frequency balanced settings for an optimal acoustic experience. The supported presets include FullSound, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Rock, Techno and Classical. The music player supports high quality MP3 and WMA formats (bit rates of up to 320 kpbs).

Another useful feature in the GoGear Mix is the Song Break memory. If you were to switch off the device in the midst of a song, the player will start from the interrupted section when you switch it on again. The Philips GoGear supports drag and drop functionality for data transfer without the need for additional software installations. This allows you to use the GoGear as a handy USB pen drive when needed.
